The Global Web Tracking settings allow you to specify which types of information to ignore if the information is not relevant to your establishment.
On the RM Auditor Administration page, next to Web Traffic Monitor Configuration, click the Edit button.
In the Web Monitor Configuration window, select the Default Behaviour tab.
Select (tick) the information that you wish to ignore. Any information, collected by the Web monitor, of the type(s) you have selected to ignore will not be saved to the database.
Ignore requests for content that is already cached - selecting this option means that requests for data that has been found in the user's or network's cache can be ignored.
Ignore redirected content - selecting this option means that requests for content that result in the user being redirected can be ignored. For example, if a user requests http://www.rmplc.net/ they will be redirected to http://www.rm.com/. If you select this option, the request for http://www.rmplc.net/ will not be stored.
Ignore files of unknown size - for some files, the file size is not recorded in the information about the file that is returned from the Web site request. If you select this option, all files of unknown size will not be recorded.
Ignore requests made by NT AUTHORITY accounts (e.g. NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM) - some programs, for example antivirus programs that are installed on a workstation, regularly send requests to a Web site to see if any updates are available. Such requests may happen very frequently and could generate a lot of data within a short time. If you select this option, all such requests will not be recorded.
Ignore secure (https) Web traffic - https is a protocol for transferring encrypted data. Requests made through a secure connection will result in only the request date and time, user name, computer name and IP address being logged in the RM Auditor Database for the request. At establishments with a proxy server, it may be possible to also recover the domain name of the Web site requested. If you select this option, this information will not be recorded.
